Mr. Rich Gonzales

Mr. Gonzales is the Director of Orchestras at Sheyenne High School. The 2022-23 school year will be his 4th year of teaching. His favorite part of teaching is building relationships with students while sharing his passion for music. Mr. Gonzales is originally from Billings, MT. He graduated from Concordia College in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.  He regularly performs with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and Fargo-Moorhead Opera Company. His favorite performance each year is playing in the pit orchestra with the Wonderland Orchestra for the annual FM Ballet production of The Nutcracker. 

Our mission for the Sheyenne High School Orchestras is to provide a fun and safe space for students to improve their technical and musical skills through performance. We further enhance our students’ wellbeing by teaching teamwork, commitment, and cooperation in addition to their musical skills. We strive to instill in our students a desire for lifelong musical learning and appreciation for the arts.
